Aloha! Welcome to my Home Page! I’m genuine “Local Boy” from Hawai’i who somehow got relocated in the middle of “nowhere” Japan. Actually it’s Akechi town, now (since November 2004), a district of Ena City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. For those of you Hawai’i locals, it’s more country than Waimanalo, ‘Oahu (minus the ocean). This town is actually a tourist attraction. Akechi (aka “Japan Taisho Village”), is a town that time forgot (it got stuck in Japan’s Taisho Era (1911-1925)).
Hundreds of tourists come by to see old buildings, rice paddies and green forests. This place is not the tropical paradise that Hawai’i is, but If you’re in the area, stop by!
